Creat a new group for Tado-X users
Mods, can you create a new group for Tado-X usrs. It makes browsing through posts much easier, as V2/3 and X are not compatible with each other, and they do not share the same problems and solutions.

The heating does not activate
I I have installed tado replacing a Honeywell T6360 analog thermostat. I have connected the connection as indicated in the instructions, but the heating does not activate at any time. I attach photographs of the heating. If i jumper the wires, the heating activates. Boiler: Baxi Roca - Victoria Condens 24/24f

Temperature Sensor X with Wired Smart Thermostat X
Hi, I use Wired Smart Thermostats X in all rooms separately to control my underfloor heating. In one room my the Smart Thermostat is installed on the wall outside the room. So it looks like the thermostat is measuring the temperature in another room. So I bought the Wireless Temperature Sensor X. However I don't see any…

Is it possible to extend cycle time in Tado?
Do you know is it possible to extend time before heating cycles in any way? For now I experience following inconvenience (especially when only ufh calls for heat and radiators are off): - UFH calls for heat and boiler starts heating for some time. But it relatively quickly exceeds requested temperature/max flow temp. and…

Support multiple schedule configurations such as spring etc..
It is very common to want different sets of heating parameters for different occasions. A typical example might be a different set for summer versus winter. Or for when guests are staying versus not. It would be great if the Tado system supported the ability for user's to create multiple named configurations and switch…

Central heating.
I live in an apartment with central heating, so I don't have my own boiler. I bought six Tado X thermostatic valves and a wireless sensor from the X series. Since I don't need to manage the rooms separately, I would like the sensor to work like a normal thermostat, which is usually placed in the coldest point of the house.…

Combining the best of Tado and Nest?
I realise the title of this post may sound odd or even controversial but here goes. My system is very conventional (read old fashioned) consisting of a 16 year old Viessman 100 WB1 boiler, gravity fed (tank in roof space) and I believe what is called a Y plan layout with separate two-way valves controlling the heating and…

Heating System Override switching it on for 1hr, 2hr 3hr or set a time
Strangely, the Tado system allows you switch on the hot water heating for a specified time outside the schedule. But it is not possible to do the same for the heating. Instead, you have go into each device, which is a ridiculously time consuming and fiddly process. Yet, it is standard functionality on most central heating…

Can Tado X Thermostat handle 40 V from thermostat wire
I have a older boiler which gives 40 V from the thermostat wire. Can the Tado x handle this? FYI I'm swapping from a toon thermostat and removed the transformer bit in between which steps up the voltage to 50V. So the 40 V comes directly from the boiler ( measured on the two wires open therm). Hope someone can help, thanks!

Funzioni in app

Ideal boiler - Tado and Tado Installer app contradict each other
Hi I have an Ideal Esprit Eco2 30 boiler. The previous room stat was ESRTP4RF+. I have removed this from the terminal block on the left hand side of the drop down panel of the boiler and inserted the jumper loop. On the right hand side of the drop down panel I have connected my Tado wired thermostat to the opentherm…

Zoning without TRV's?
Hi, my situation: boiler with gravity fed tank, currently controlled via a Honeywell timer. Bedrooms all have TRV's, downstairs is UF heating and some rads with TRV's. My plan is to replace the timer with a Tado wireless V3 starter kit. That will enable control of the overall heating (so up & downstairs) + the hot water. I…

Can I reconnect the wires from my old Siemens receiver to the Tado receiver?
I'm considering replacing my Siemens RDJ10RF Programmable Room Thermostat and Receiver with a Wireless Tado V3. I have a Baxi Platinum Combi boiler, with the wiring from the boiler already connected to the Siemens receiver. I'm therefore wondering if I can avoid opening up the boiler and instead simply disconnect the wires…

Tado X and Vitodens 050-W BPJD OpenTherm
Hello, Today I received and installed Tado X and Bridge to control my Vitodens 050-W BPJD. I used the cabling suggested by the app Relay pin NO/COM and it works. Later I found this post here that seems to confirm the boiler supports OpenTherm. My questions are: 1 - do I have to move cables from Relay to OpenTherm…

Tado X rooms and devices
In anticipation of my Tado X system arriving I have been scouring the help center articles about the system. Specifically I have been looking for anything that states the maximum number of devices and rooms that can call for heat that can be in a system. I know V3+ is 25 devices and 10 rooms that can call for heat but I…

Tado multiroom vs multizone
Hi, The house I've moved in to has 2 17yr old boilers linked together that work in tandem to heat 3 zones (ground/1st floor/2nd floor) using wired thermostats on each floor, these are to be replaced in the next year as I'm planning on getting wet underfloor heating in the kitchen extension which they do not support. It's…

Vaillant connection with Tado
I am connecting my tado° Wireless Smart Thermostat Starter Kit V3+with boiler Vaillant ecoTEC pro 28H combi. I want to use eBUS connection on my Boiler side. When connecting with my receiver should I connect it to CH COM and CH NO, in a same way as if connecting with RT in boiler. Also, it seems that if using eBUS I would…

Thermostat seems dead after battery change
Hi After changing the batteries in my thermostat - it seems to be dead.. pressing the button for 3 seconds does nothing, holding for 10 seconds, still nothing... I’m using brand new AAA Duracell batteries. I’ve also try to remove the stat from my Tado account and reinstall - but now the bridge doesn’t seem to be able to…

Exposure of additional information to Matter for Tado X Radiator Thermostat
Hello, I'd like to ask if the development roadmap for the Tado X Radiator Thermostats has the exposure of additional entities to Matter planned in the near future? I'd like to see the battery % and also the valve position (valve open %) directly within the connected home automation ecosystem through Matter, which is…

How do I disable geofencing for hot water using Tado X?
I have a system boiler which means I have a hot water tank. The water needs to be heated periodically to ensure Legionnaires disease does not grow in the tank. When Tado X is in Away mode the hot water can only be set to on or off, there is no schedule. I am about to go away for a month in the middle of winter and in Away…

Tado system with smart radiator thermostats
Hi I purchased my Tado system some years ago and it consisted of: 1 Wireless Receiver 1 Internet Bridge 1 Wireless Temperature Sensor I installed it, and all has been working well. A month or so ago, I purchased 8 smart radiator thermostats and installed those on 8 of my 10 radiators. I am now thinking of ordering another…

Vaillant EcoTec Pro 30 - Wireless install
Hi I’ve just purchased the wireless v3+ starter kit and would like some pointers on installation. I already have a Siemens RDJ100 installed that I want to remove and replace with Tado. There are lots of discussions on install that I’ve read but haven’t quite got my answer. I believe that I should look to bridge RT24 and…

Select how long boost hot water for Tado X
I've switched from the V3+ to Tado X due to connection issues with the bridge. With V3+ in the app I could select how long to boost my hot water for with the pencil, this was a vital feature for me. With tado X I can click boost but it is only set for 60 minutes and can't be edited. I see from tado's website this is a…

Thermostat is very slow
Hi, I have a problem with my thermostat which is placed in my living room. I also have 2 radiator walves in the same room and 4 walves upstairs in other rooms. I noticed that the current temperature on the thermostat isn't often the same as in my app (in the living room). It shows 19.5C now and the app shows 20.4C. The…

Will any of the thermostats work with an Atag iC Economiser 27?
Hi, I have an Atag iC Economiser 27 boiler from 2017, not the more recent "plus" model. It came with an Atag One controller which is hooked in with a 2 write OpenTherm bus connection. That controller is about to pack in and I'm looking at Tado instead. I've read that the only UK model that does OpenTherm is the wired…

Tado X via Matter - system topology differs between Tado app and Matter controllers
Hi! I installed Tado X devices recently and noticed one fundamental flaw. In Tado app the topology follows the former "room" concept. There are 2 significant downgrades however in comparison to the legacy systems: - it is not possible to set which device is used to measure room temperature (in the past it was possible to…
