Thinking about a Tado system, questions
Hi, first post, please be gentle :)
I'm looking to install a Tado V3+ system (probably) to give better control over the heating in our home, as currently we only have a simple timer/programmer, not even a thermostat for the main part of the house. The heating systems we have are:
1 - Viessman combi boiler, about 11 years old, no hot water tank. Seven radiators, two heated towel rails in bathrooms. Controlled by Honeywell programmer.
2 - Dining kitchen extension with water underfloor heating. Controlled by Warmup 3ie air-sensing thermostat. This is looped and controlled independently of the main central heating in the house.
3 - 2x bathrooms have small electric underfloor systems with Warmup 3ie, floor sensors only.
4 - Garden room has small electric underfloor system with Warmup 4ie, air and floor sensors.
Assuming I go with the V3+, I'm thinking of this shopping list:
1 - Wireless Smart Thermostat Starter Kit (to replace the Honeywell programmer attached to the boiler)
2 - Add-on Smart Thermostat, wired (to replace the Warmup 3ie controlling the wet UFH in the extension)
3 - 2x 4-packs of the Smart Radiator Thermostats for the radiators around the main part of the house
Does the above all seem to fit the bill as far as the boiler-powered parts of the system go?
I'm assuming I can't do much about the electric underfloor heating systems with Tado V3+, at least officially? Is that functionality already in or likely to come to Tado X?
What about the heated towel rails in the bathrooms, they don't have thermostatically controlled radiator valves - is it safe to put wireless temp. sensors in the bathrooms?
