Replace a Salus ST620WBC RF Receiver
Our boiler currently has a Salus ST620WBC RF receiver installed into the boiler unit. It also has a Siemans unit attached to the wall; I have no idea if this does anything as our (not working) thermostat system is all Salus. The boiler is a Worcester Greenstar 28i Junior combi. There are no instructions as to how to…

Odd behaviour . . .
Yesterday I turned on the heating to 19º in a room which has a single radiator with TRV and wireless temperature sensor, the zone controller is a wireless receiver. The room began heating as expected but after a while I noticed the sensor was recording the temperature as 16.5º although it was clear the room had become…

Moving to Opentherm Control
Hi All, I've got myself a bit confused and hoping the wise heads in the forum can assist. We've had a Tado V3+ system with multiple TRVs for a few years now. It has worked well. I installed it myself and it was the zenith of my DIY career 🤣. This was in combination with a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 18i System Boiler that…

Replacing wired Heatmiser with tado wired for Hot Water
I have a Vokèra system boiler with wired Heatmiser system for 2x heating zones (upstairs and downstairs) and 1x for Hot Water. I've replaced the Heatmisers with tado and no issues, however, for the hot water I'm not convinced. I've replaced the wired Heatmiser with the tado smart thermostat, but it's treating the hot water…

Smart Thermostat
I have just installed a smart thermostat alongside a wireless temperature sensor The smart thermostat correctly controls the radiator valve (opens and closes) but does not send a signal to the boiler for heat unless the wireless temperature sensor is also calling for heat Consequently I cannot use the smart thermostat to…

How do tado thermostatic valves work with a central thermostat
I have a wired tado thermostat which we use to turn heating on/off for the whole house. There are a couple of rooms upstairs which get really warm, whilst their rest of the house is still heating up to the set temperature. I was wondering whether the smart radiator thermostats on these radiators would help to limit…

Temp. Return sensor
Having a return temp. Sensor clamped on the radiator will allow more efficient control of the thermostat as it often over shoots on set point. Monitoring the return temp. Will make a huge difference

Why is still heating ? Temp set to 18°, (room at 18,7°)
This morning I have noticed that the thermostat was set at 18°, the room was at 18,7° and the boiler was still running. The truth is that today is the coldest day in months. Is it possible that TADO takes this in consideration to heat over what I want ? Can I remove it in the case is this "feature" ? Thankyou Gus

TRVs won’t grip. Guide says no adaptor needed.
Hi, installed my tado heating setup yesterday. Got extender, thermostat etc all up and working, started on the TRVs. Old one, a pegler terrier ii came off easily enough and the new one seemed to screw on. But then I noticed that the instructions involved twisting and clicking, which of course secures the the two parts of…

Caldaia Bosh funzionamento modulante bye-bye?

Greenstar 1000 boiler not working
I’ve had many issues with tado, always around winter of course! This time, it just stopped connecting for a while, I’ve reset and re linked the receiver, seems to be connected, but now it’s not turning the boiler on properly or when it does turn it on, and I’ve set it to a different boiler, it doesn’t turn it off properly.…

Tado Smart Temperature Senzor X not working with apple HomeKit
Hello dear community! I recently bought the Wireless Smart Thermostat X starter kit (wireless senzor X + wireless Receiver X) to upgrade my heating unit. Poor support by Tado - no email address?
Hi I'm sitting and looking at the new Tado X devises and wanted to send a support question. (I have the old versions and KNOW they are not compatible … but wanted to know if the fittings on the raditors were the same) But it is really true, that I can't find an email to the support? The chatbot is useless - so it seems…

Issues with eBUS (Vaillant) support and Tado X
Hello everyone, I recently upgraded to the Tado X Wireless Thermostat, but I'm facing some issues with my Vaillant ecotec plus (vcw296) boiler. This boiler uses the Vaillant eBus protocol. My previous Tado V3 model supported modulation via eBus, but after connecting the new Tado X in the same way, it doesn't seem to work.…

Incorporate fixed costs and taxes in the calculation of energy expenditure
Dear Tado team, I would like to propose an improvement that I consider useful for many users: the possibility of including fixed costs and taxes in the calculation of total energy expenditure. Currently, the application only allows the variable rate per kWh to be entered, which may underestimate the real energy costs, as…

Tado X - need advice on UK system boiler Hot Water temperature control
Hi I have an old Honeywell Sundial (pre Evohome) system that I installed myself with no thermostatic room valves so I want to replace everything. The Honeywell system allows me to both set and monitor the temperature of the hot water. As far as I can see there is a UK version of X which adds a hot water timer but I see no…

Smart AC control to activate AC based on room temperature
Currently the Smart AC control turns on the AC unit at the start of a time block, regardless of the temperature. In my opinion that's a major flaw, because most (all?) home AC units still run their fan even if the room temperature is below the setpoint, so it's a waste of energy and also annoying to have the fan blowing…

Cold room switching on boiler alot

Wireless Receiver and Internet Bridge keep dropping out

If the horizontal valves are better at monitoring room temp, can I just flip my valves like this?
I've read that horizontally mounted valves do a better job at monitoring room temperature as they are further away from the radiator. Other than the hassle of draining the system, is it possible to flip these valves so they end up like this (excuse the ropey photoshopping)?
