New set up and problem with Radiator Thermostat X

I’m new to the Tado world and have just tested out the wall thermostat, bridge, and a single radiator thermostat.
The setup of the hub was simple and quick, the wall thermostat setup was quick and easy, but the radiator thermostat had a problem with not mounting properly ie not at all, kept returning the message “failed”
I looked at the Myson TRV which I’d removed and saw the travel on the pin actuator was good when not attached to the radiator, the pin actuator on the radiator thermostat x was nil so there was no way it would mount!
I gave it a press a wiggle a bit and then attempted to make it mount whilst in my hand.
Success!! the pin actuator moved over the correct position and I fitted it to a radiator and mounted perfectly.
Now to get to grips with removing the old on/off Center room thermostat and receiver and wire my Baxi Combi 800 up to operate in OpenTherm mode.
Will update when done but I am overall impressed with the speed of setup of this system as a test rig and will be extremely pleased if it all works together as hoped.

That problem with trv pin pressure. My trick is to turn off the system. It kills the pressure. I can then remove the old head. Fit the new one, dash downstairs and start the whole system then get on my knees and wait by the rad. It wakes up, builds its relationship and I can walk away grinning.
