Underfloor heating + radiator setup
Hello! I have already several Tado valves installed in radiators, and I'm going to renovate my house and install underfloorheating in some areas. Planning on using SRVs for each 'zone' in the underfloorheating distributor as actuators and smart thermostats on each room (would be linking them so that the sensing is done by…

Navien Boiler Opentherm radiators lukewarm
I have recently installed a TADO control system in my house with a Navien NCB-40 Combi boiler and am struggling to get the boiler temperature to increase enough to get the room temperature warm enough. The radiators only ever get lukewarm. I have a wired thermostat connected via Opentherm and currently 6 Tado Smart…

How do Tado TRVs call for heat?
I have a Vaillant ecoTEC 627 boiler providing heat in an 'S Plan' to supply... Hot water with a motorised valve 4 underfloor heating zones (via a manifold and Heatmiser UH4 wiring centre) into which there are 4 wired thermostats, which I think I can replace with Tado wired thermostats (if I accept they don't support floor…

Replacing 2x Hive receiver system with Tado
Hi, In my previous house I replaced a nice easy Worcester Wave thermostat through the LV connections to a Tado V3 Smart Thermostat and Smart TRVs. The new house has an existing Hive system (excluding the use of the perfectly working hub as Hive refuse to allow its transfer of ownership - i'd need to buy a new one). Current…

TRV settings and boiler temperature
Hi just setting up my Tado system for 1st time. So, should I set each TRV to max and let the Tado maintain the set temperature? I'm thinking that if the TRV is set lower then it will mean the boiler will have to work harder to reach desired temperature. Also, I can adjust the CH water temperature at the boiler, should this…

There used to be a graph showing current and previous consumption in energy savings. But mine has disappeared? Has anyone else got this problem?

Internet bridge offline every few days
My Tado internet bridge keeps losing router connection every few days. A reboot of the bridge brings it back on. Everything else wired to the same switch is working fine. Is there any way I can see why it's disconnecting? I've not made any changes on my home network in a long while but this has been happening for just the…

Schedule Failure?
This morning just before 8 am I noticed the sound of my bedroom radiator shutting down whilst aware that it was much to early in the schedule to do so and that the temperature was just under 2 degrees under target. Android app confirmed 'twas closed and any attempt to increase target temperature (even to 25c) had no…

Guests keep on disconnecting radiator knobs from the mount by accident and then...
the radiator goes to maximum, guests open up the window to compensate, and I do not receive any notification that the radiator knob is disconnected. I have 20 Tado Devices on a single bridge. 5 apartments, in a house that are rented out for short term stays. More often than I like, people - who are used to normal radiator…

Worcester Modulation (wired stat vs wireless)
Hi all, I am looking at purchasing the tado wired stat for my Worcester 36 CDI Compact, but have a few question first. A) Does this offer full heating modulation / load compensation via the +/- connectors when connected to the EMS port on the boiler? I am assuming that it will, but a few contradictive discussions on here,…

Can a Zone controller operating a zone valve also tell the boiler receiver to fire the boiler?
I'm sure this has come up before but, I have 11 Tado TRVs, 4 on the ground floor plus another 2 in the same circuit/zone in the 1st and 2nd floor bathrooms. There is a wireless thermostat in the hall (controlling the TRV on the hall radiator) and a receiver wired to the boiler. I had an old timer wired to a zone valve…

Temperature regulation quality
My Tado controls my dated boiler/heater which has no OpenTherm, so it's modulating. I noticed that after some time the accuracy of temperature regulation improved - at least it looks like that on the screenshots below - correct me if I am wrong. Better quality of regulation is better indeed, but on the other side I see…

Tado radiator turning on by itself outside smart schedule hours
The last 3 nights 1 of our Tado radiator valves has been turning itself on and heating our bedroom at around 4am. The smart schedule we have should only allow it to turn on at 6:50 am and off again at 07:15 am. I've not made any changes recently and it's been running smooth and consistent since last year when I changed the…

Advice needed, please: should I buy a refurbished Tado?
I have looked closely at the Nest Learning 3 and Hive V3 thermostats for my two-bedroom large flat with a Vaillant Ecotec 824 Plus gas combi boiler. To buy a Nest or Hive and have professionally installed would cost around £250. However it's possible to buy a Tado refurbished Wired Smart thermostat starter kit for £99.99.…

What happens if the internet fails when I am not at home?
If I go away for, say, a fortnight and home internet is down, what will my heating do? Obviously I would like it to fall back to some kind of frost protection mode. My internet is 4g based so I sometimes unplug and take it with me. Same question for hot water. It would be nice if it's not stone cold when I get back but not…

Unreliable thermostat
My thermostat is just out of its 2 year warranty, and is frequently losing its remote connection. Tado cannot help and suggest it is replaced but this makes it an expensive system. Have others experienced similar unreliability problems?

Can I set the schedule for all days of the week through the API?

How to control (on/off/temperature) hot water from thermostat
Room temperature can of course be controlled from the device itself. When you switch on/of hot water or change the temperature, the device shows you with the white LEDs. Boiler won't turn off
Hi All, Got myself setup with a Tado system throughout the house, but it seems that the boiler won't switch off, even when I tell Tado to turn off all rooms. Mitsubishi Ecodan ASHP
I have just installed a Mitsubishi Ecodan ASHP and therefore the Tado bridge, Extension box and Wireless Thermostat which were used for the gas boiler are redundant. Moving from Nest wireless downstairs with upstairs wired thermostat
Hi, Our Nest packed it in, so I’m looking to shift to Tado but I’m unsure about what to buy. Our setup is this: Originally our Grant Multiboiler had two wired (Honeywell) wall thermostats, one upstairs and one downstairs. This was changed to a downstairs wireless Nest with the heat link installed at the boiler. (The…
