Selling a house with a Tado system: best practices?
I have a Tado wired thermostat, wireless extension, and a few TRVs installed in a house that I am selling. I'm a bit concerned about how to hand this over to the new owner given that there'll be a period with no internet connection and it'll be winter when the house sells, so I'll likely want to keep the heating on low during any transition period and the new owner will want to use it immediately.
Assuming the new owner wants the Tado gear what's the best way to manage the handover? Anyone have first hand experience to relate? I'm sure I have seen a support doc about running without an internet connection but I can't find it now.
(I'm leaning towards just reinstalling the old stuff. It will be a pain as I filled the old holes etc but maybe less of a pain than dealing with the new owner when the heating doesn't work.)

Without access to the internet the app will stop working, but Tado devices can still be manually controlled. You will lose access to the schedule, so there will be no automatic time control. However, the setting of temperatures will still be possible. You can verify this by disconnecting the bridge from the router and making temperature changes on each device. Obviously the bridge must be powered up, as it is central to communication between devices.
Follow this guide to hand over the hardware and user account to the new owner.
Then again, if the new owner is not enthusiastic about smart technology it might be easier to remove the hardware and avoid any complaints.
