Will wireless thermostat fire up heating over wired stat next to boiler?

Options
Have a Potterton combi boiler with wired thermostat next to boiler in a cupboard in kitchen. The heating doesn't fire up unless on a schedule or boosted as the temperature on thermostat is higher then the room temperature as next to boiler. Would a wireless thermostat placed in hall override the wired on next to the boiler?

Ah, do you already have a Tado thermostat? In that case you could just add a wireless temperature sensor and set that to be the measuring device.

If you want a wireless thermostat you would have to you unwire the wired thermostat to put in the wireless receiver, so yes.

I thought the point of additional stats would fire up the heating from different rooms without having to remove the wired starter kit?
