Using Tado to control the time the Combi Boiler heats the internal hot water tank
Hi, I have a Combi boiler, which has an internal hot water storage tank which is permanently kept hot for hot-water on demand. The Grant Combi boiler is fitted with the option of having a timer fitted for the hot water provision, so the internal tank is not heated 24 x 7 - I only want hot water in the morning and in the…

No connection or heating
Please help. We have a very old boiler Vaillant and no thermostat. Had a plumber out last night to connect and set up everything but the receiver won’t connect. I’ve tried to contact customer services and no reply. The heating has now gone off and I’ve got a small baby so house is freezing. Any tips on getting the receiver…

Set schedule in minute-intervals (or at least in five-minute intervals)
This has been discussed before and rather arrogantly answered in https://tado.vanillacommunities.com/en-gb/discussion/comment/2524/#Comment_2524. Arrogantly because it appears the person answering thinks he or she knows all about all scenarios the tado is used in - which appears unlikely. Perhaps this issue can be…

Using Wired Thermostat as Wireless Temperature Sensor
I’ve replaced our boiler controller with a Tado Wireless Receiver. Fitting instructions for the receiver state I should remove the existing single wall thermostat, decommission the wires to it and replace with a Tado Wireless Temperature Sensor as the Receiver will replace its function. I have several Tado Wired…

ic economiser27plus combi boiler dhw not activating
I have DHW set to eco, install was working ok, but now when I turn a tap on the water either goes slightly warm and then goes cold again, or just stays cold. The DHW activated box doesn't appear around the tap icon. Does this mean the DHW flow sensor is faulty? Interestingly, if I turn the central heating on, then the box…

Tado 3 waves and zone valves
Hello, I have Tado Room thermostaat and Radiator TRVs. The Room thermostat is used to control a zone valve. I have noticed that the valve does not open when the demand is only 1 or 2 waves. Any idea on how to resolve that? Also if I connect it as a digital input sensor to a TA UVR16x2 it shows as off on the 1 or 2 waves…

Can't control my heating
Hi all, Just installed Tado at my new home using the wireless starter kit. The receiver has replaced a Salus EP101 and is connected to an Ideal Logic+ Combi with the thermostat replacing a previously wired Drayton Combistat. The hot water is working fine but my boiler has the message 'timer or room stat is off' and I'm not…

Problems mounting TADO thermostat, error code E4

Tado shows as heating but Vaillant ecoTEC plus 831 does not heat CH
We're having some issues with our tado not heating the house. We have a standard Vaillant ecoTEC plus 831 combi boiler. The hot water seems fine (adjusting the hot water temperature in the app changes the temperature from the tap), but the central heating shows its heating but the boiler just kicks in for a short time,…

Remote temperature probe and wiring
Please could you advise if there is an available product from Tado for either a remote temperature probe that can be located within a wetroom or an IP rated Wireless Thermostat. The wireless thermostat cannot be placed in my desired location due to the IP rating and electrical safety zones. If there is no product available…

Opentherm, Ideal Independent boiler configuration problems.
I purchased an extension kit which had opentherm compatibility to use with a new boiler installation. The boiler is an ideal independent c30, I have spoken to Ideal and they assured me the model is Opentherm compatible. The boiler was wired with Opentherm, but the heating would never turn off, even when no heating should…

Room graphs in app broken with latest update?
When looking at the graphs, the axes are drawn in white on a very pale grey background, so as to make them unreadable. I am sure this wasn't the case a few days ago. Anyone else with the same issue? Or just me. I am on version 6.68.0 from 27th September, on Pixel 6 Pro. Thanks, Phil EDIT: It's a dark mode thing. If I turn…

standard temperature
The standard temperature of TADO is 21 degree C.. If that is true, isn't it a better idea to lower this standard temperature on behalf of the climatecrisis and, recently, saving costs? For example lower it to 19 or even lower temperature. If someone wants to heat more, be free with TADO to do that. De standaard temperatuur…

How do I put this back together?
Possibly the dumbest question ever, but I have a tiny washer that has (I think) come out of the Wireless Receiver and I can't figure out where it's supposed to go back in. Could someone look at theirs and tell me? It did say in the instructions not to remove the screw, so I only have myself to blame.

Will wireless thermostat fire up heating over wired stat next to boiler?
Have a Potterton combi boiler with wired thermostat next to boiler in a cupboard in kitchen. The heating doesn't fire up unless on a schedule or boosted as the temperature on thermostat is higher then the room temperature as next to boiler. Would a wireless thermostat placed in hall override the wired on next to the boiler?

What Tado hardware do I need?
Hello! I really don't understand our home heating system. It's a build from 2015, so quite modern, but we were given no documentation. I think there's two zones though: The living room, and then the rest of the house. Somehow hot water is involved, but I have no idea how 😅 The living room can stay on the danfoss zone for…

Control for electric underfloor heating
I have recently invested in a complete house Tado setup to work my central heating, hot water and air conditioning. The only area I have remaining is electric underfloor heating in my conservatory. Selling a house with a Tado system: best practices?
I have a Tado wired thermostat, wireless extension, and a few TRVs installed in a house that I am selling. I'm a bit concerned about how to hand this over to the new owner given that there'll be a period with no internet connection and it'll be winter when the house sells, so I'll likely want to keep the heating on low…
