Underfloor Heating + TRV Setup
Hi all,
I am in the process of having a new heating system commissioned and have some questions on what's required.
I have an underfloor heating setup with two zones. I was planning to use a Tado Wired Thermostat for each zone and then Tado smart TRVs for 5 rads, each in separate rooms. I have a Tado Wireless Receiver to control the boiler.
My plumber seems to think I also need a Wireless Thermostat to control the Wireless Receiver, but I was expecting the TRVs to talk to the Wireless Receiver (wirelessly) and the Wired Thermostats to be wired into the Wireless Receiver.
Bit confused on what's required.
Thanks!

You don’t need a wireless temp sensor, and your wired thermostats are wired to zone valves, not the wireless receiver. You could use a wireless temp sensor if you have a room with multiple Tado trvs to get a more accurate temperature reading. Sounds like you’re on the right track though.0
