New Tado installation, all working but...
Replaced Drayton wired thermostat and old controller with Tado Wireless V3+ along with 6 Smart Tado radiator valves. The boiler is a Grant 21E Oil boiler. The issue I have is the central heating pump is always on, the boiler however works when required, turning on and off as expected, just the water pump on 24*7. I have a…

Question on modulation
Is it possible to see anywhere the temperatures that Tado is requesting from the boiler? I can see people posting them in some threads, but it's not clear to me where to get that information from. Thanks

Normal radiator TRV valve vs Tado smart TRV valve
I have 9 normal TRVs valve on 9 radiators. I am planning to have a tado° Wireless Smart Thermostat Starter Kit V3+ and just 1 tado° Smart TRV Thermostatic Radiator Valve. Will my other 8 radiators still heat up along with the one with tado smart radiator valve? Or I need to have Tado smart radiator valve in all radiators?…

Home Assistant AND TRV-Control - beyond primitive "on/off"
--- Overview: My "Problem" is, that I want to control our Tado-TRV's beyond "on/off". But, the automation for HA, is ONLY "on-off". Plus that the "control-chef" is "not defined /unclear" (Local/Tado/HA/App). --- and, In depth: I cannot find any option, to hand the "temperature-measured" to the Tado-TRV's (like if the…

how to set another wired thermostat as measuring device? (not zone controller)
Basically I have two wired thermostats controlling actuator valves for underfloor heating in a big living room. One of them is in a very warm corner so it never opens the valve to heat the floor. I would like to use the other wired thermostat as measuring device only. If I set the other thermostat as zone controller, the…

Add Months to schdule
I’m a recent newbie to getting this and I found it really good. I think a great idea would be to add months to the schedules rather than just days. This would then be useful for setting the schedules per summer months and winter months.I had a digital thermostat which did that and I found worked well as never had to touch…

What's the point of having smart trv's in same room as wireless thermostat?
I'm getting some tado smart trv's but despite reading various answers I still don't see the point in having them in the same room as the wireless thermostat. Can somebody clear this up? Should I have smart trv's on both radiators in my living room where I already have the wireless thermostat? Thanks

Existing thermostat
Do I have to decommission an existing Drayton SCR and wireless Digistat+RF to get my Tado system to work or can I just remove the whole thing including wiring?

Allow "Auto" within HomeKit
Many smart heating systems when exposed to HomeKit allow the use of "OFF, HEAT and AUTO", even Drayton Wiser which can only be exposed through a custom made plug-in via homebridge can use AUTO. The AUTO function (at least as I see it) would allow the system to return back to the current schedule. For example, in HomeKit I…

2 hot water circuits
In my house at the moment I have a hot water circuit on a tado extension box, radiators upstairs on a tado wireless thermostat, underfloor heating on separate thermostats, and the bathroom rads on a fourth circuit. The bathroom rads are controlled like hot water - there is no thermostat, just a timer that turns them on…

Removing devices from Tado and Homekit
Yesterday I’ve noticed that one of the brand new STV doesn’t work how it supposed to, while turning it anti clockwise the sound and feeling were bit dodgy. Doesn’t matter. Because I bought set of 4 I had to return them all and take another 4. And here the problems started. I removed them all from Tado but they didn’t…

House Set up
Hi all, Since I am really bad with hardware, I want to verify my set up is possible and makes sense I have a house on 2 floors which has a pallet burner to heat the house. The problem I am trying to solve is that the upper floor gets colder faster and hotter faster compared to downstairs. At the moment I have thermostat…

What the graph shows me for TRVs versus thermostats
Hi, I've had my system for a few months and have made some assumptions and would like to know if I'm right as they doesn't seem to be explicitly documented anywhere. Here's my setup - A combi boiler with Tado thermostat, and a few TRVs in the rooms I spend most time in. Assumption 1: If the thermostat is set at 16 degrees…

My Tado keeps calling for heat to the boiler, why?
It seems my Tado system is calling the boiler for heating, even when the all the heating is turned off via the app. My boiler was heating for around a minute, then running the pump for a few minutes before starting the boiler again. At first I thought this was a boiler fault, but I have disconnected the Tado connections…

Tips for a new Tado setup?
hi! I've just bought the wired thermostat and 4 smart radiator valves in a package. I've watched a few videos from Heatgeek on Youtube, but some things are still not clear: Is there a documentation how the SRVs and the thermostat orchestrate the heating together? Is the system clever enough to handle if I e.g. set the…

geofencing ability to learn when to re-start heating
I recently set up underfloor heating and am using 8 x Tado Wired Smart Thermostats. I often travel for business, so I've turned on the geofencing feature to cut down on heating costs when I'm not at home. My expectation was that Tado would detect when I'm heading home and start heating up my place so it's cozy by the time…

Can wired thermostats communicate with a wireless receiver?
I have boiler control via Honeywell ST9400C time controller, this is wired in S Plan plus configuration to give two zones for heating. Can a Smart Radiator Valve be Controlled by Another Thermostat?
I've had a media wall installed recently. This means that my living room radiator has had a vented cover put around it. There's a cutout in the side for the smart radiator valve, so it works fine, but I'm concerned that the inside of the vented cover is getting hotter than the rest of the room. In my hallway (2 metres…
