Dual zone and HW tank control with Tado
Hi all,
My current setup:
- HW tank with WB Greenstar 8000 life system boiler.
- I have two wired ESI thermostats, one downstairs and one upstairs.
- I have a Levante LEVHC2P controller next to the hot water tank on the middle floor and the boiler is in the kitchen.
- 3 valves control upstairs heating, downstairs heating and hot water.
Things I'd like:
- I want to move the upstairs wired thermostat to a wireless one if possible so that I can move it out of a small room that we've built that doesn't have a radiator into the hallway.
- I want to be able to control both zones and HW.
- It would be good if the downstairs thermostat was wireless too but after some research I think my setup might need at least one wired thermostat so if it has to stay on the wall that's OK.
With my system are my wants achievable with Tado?
I'm also slightly confused about the setup. Do the wired ESI thermostats directly control the zone valves and the Levante programmer just controls the HW tank valve and signalling to the boiler to turn on?
Thanks

If your home is on 3 storeys tado may struggle because of its weak radio signal. You might want to consider an alternative system which features repeaters such as Wiser . . .0

It's over 3 storeys but the thermostats are on the bottom and middle floor similar to a normal 2 storey house.
