Ideal boiler - Tado and Tado Installer app contradict each other
Hi I have an Ideal Esprit Eco2 30 boiler. The previous room stat was ESRTP4RF+. I have removed this from the terminal block on the left hand side of the drop down panel of the boiler and inserted the jumper loop. On the right hand side of the drop down panel I have connected my Tado wired thermostat to the opentherm…

Zoning without TRV's?
Hi, my situation: boiler with gravity fed tank, currently controlled via a Honeywell timer. Bedrooms all have TRV's, downstairs is UF heating and some rads with TRV's. My plan is to replace the timer with a Tado wireless V3 starter kit. That will enable control of the overall heating (so up & downstairs) + the hot water. I…

Can I reconnect the wires from my old Siemens receiver to the Tado receiver?
I'm considering replacing my Siemens RDJ10RF Programmable Room Thermostat and Receiver with a Wireless Tado V3. I have a Baxi Platinum Combi boiler, with the wiring from the boiler already connected to the Siemens receiver. I'm therefore wondering if I can avoid opening up the boiler and instead simply disconnect the wires…

Tado X rooms and devices
In anticipation of my Tado X system arriving I have been scouring the help center articles about the system. Specifically I have been looking for anything that states the maximum number of devices and rooms that can call for heat that can be in a system. I know V3+ is 25 devices and 10 rooms that can call for heat but I…

Tado multiroom vs multizone
Hi, The house I've moved in to has 2 17yr old boilers linked together that work in tandem to heat 3 zones (ground/1st floor/2nd floor) using wired thermostats on each floor, these are to be replaced in the next year as I'm planning on getting wet underfloor heating in the kitchen extension which they do not support. It's…

Vaillant EcoTec Pro 30 - Wireless install
Hi I’ve just purchased the wireless v3+ starter kit and would like some pointers on installation. I already have a Siemens RDJ100 installed that I want to remove and replace with Tado. There are lots of discussions on install that I’ve read but haven’t quite got my answer. I believe that I should look to bridge RT24 and…

Thermostat is very slow
Hi, I have a problem with my thermostat which is placed in my living room. I also have 2 radiator walves in the same room and 4 walves upstairs in other rooms. I noticed that the current temperature on the thermostat isn't often the same as in my app (in the living room). It shows 19.5C now and the app shows 20.4C. The…

Will any of the thermostats work with an Atag iC Economiser 27?
Hi, I have an Atag iC Economiser 27 boiler from 2017, not the more recent "plus" model. It came with an Atag One controller which is hooked in with a 2 write OpenTherm bus connection. That controller is about to pack in and I'm looking at Tado instead. I've read that the only UK model that does OpenTherm is the wired…

Tado X via Matter - system topology differs between Tado app and Matter controllers
Hi! I installed Tado X devices recently and noticed one fundamental flaw. In Tado app the topology follows the former "room" concept. There are 2 significant downgrades however in comparison to the legacy systems: - it is not possible to set which device is used to measure room temperature (in the past it was possible to…

Replace a Salus ST620WBC RF Receiver
Our boiler currently has a Salus ST620WBC RF receiver installed into the boiler unit. It also has a Siemans unit attached to the wall; I have no idea if this does anything as our (not working) thermostat system is all Salus. The boiler is a Worcester Greenstar 28i Junior combi. There are no instructions as to how to…

Odd behaviour . . .
Yesterday I turned on the heating to 19º in a room which has a single radiator with TRV and wireless temperature sensor, the zone controller is a wireless receiver. Replacing wired Heatmiser with tado wired for Hot Water
I have a Vokèra system boiler with wired Heatmiser system for 2x heating zones (upstairs and downstairs) and 1x for Hot Water. I've replaced the Heatmisers with tado and no issues, however, for the hot water I'm not convinced. I've replaced the wired Heatmiser with the tado smart thermostat, but it's treating the hot water…

How do tado thermostatic valves work with a central thermostat
I have a wired tado thermostat which we use to turn heating on/off for the whole house. There are a couple of rooms upstairs which get really warm, whilst their rest of the house is still heating up to the set temperature. I was wondering whether the smart radiator thermostats on these radiators would help to limit…

Why is still heating ? Temp set to 18°, (room at 18,7°)
This morning I have noticed that the thermostat was set at 18°, the room was at 18,7° and the boiler was still running. The truth is that today is the coldest day in months. Is it possible that TADO takes this in consideration to heat over what I want ? Can I remove it in the case is this "feature" ? Thankyou Gus

TRVs won’t grip. Guide says no adaptor needed.
Hi, installed my tado heating setup yesterday. Got extender, thermostat etc all up and working, started on the TRVs. Caldaia Bosh funzionamento modulante bye-bye?
