Swapping radiator valve from manual to trv in bathroom.
Hi This is more of a plumbing question than a Tado one specifically. I’ve installed a bunch of Tado smart trvs throughout our house and have decided now to get one for the bathroom, only to find it’s a manual valve body which I understand will need to be swapped for a Tado friendly one. I bought a 15mm drayton trv body…

One SRV set with a zone controller but behaves like independent
One room has just one SRV. It is set up the same as all the other rooms - with the thermostat as the zone controller, but when it “calls for heat” nothing happens unless another room is already “calling for heat”.

Extending TRV connection range
I've had intermittent problems with the TRV at the far end of my kitchen disconnecting intermittently since I bought in to Tado. and I'm fairly sure the problem is just distance from the bridge. I've tried all the usual suggestions including swapping for another TRV changing batteries etc etc. The only thing that seemed to…

Just installed my V3 wired thermostat. Its replaces a Vaillant VRT 50, that is wired direct to the boiler with two cables. tado installation instructions took me through the install. Heating running, thermostat sowing is not up to temp but app say it is over temp. Normal?
Hi, this is the scenario: The heating is running running (boiler and pump are working), the thermostat sowing 15.+ C, but the app shows it is already up to temp set at 17C. Is it normal? I'm running a test and can't tell what is working and what isn't. Any recommendations?

Schedule - On low all the time or off and then on when needed?
With the recent cold weather in the UK I have found it's taking a lot longer to heat up. I am at work in the daytime and when home at around 5PM with the heating off it's around 9 degrees. To then heat up to about 17-18 it takes a couple of hours. Is it cheaper to have it set to stay at around 13 while I am at work and…

Boiler heating without thermostat calling for heat
I observe a rather strange behavior of my system now: Currently, the thermostat is in absence mode. Although the temperature is still higher than that I have programmed , the boiler turns on and the flow temperature as reported by the installer application is 86 C. Does not look quite normal... I am not at home, but the…

Room graph shows temp rising and falling without a call for heat
Freezing temperatures outside. Room graph shows temperature rising without a call for heat. I haven’t checked if other rooms were calling for heat at this time, but if valve lets heat into rad, I’d expect to see a heat stripe in the graph and a wavy line to indicate demand. One recent day shows 12 rises (and subsequent…

I have two tado thermostats. They had both reported low batteries recently but were still working ok. I decide to change the batteries before they went flat. To my surprise. Temperature Accuracy
Yesterday I installed a wired Smart Thermostat and its working "fine". I initially set the temperature at 20 and the thermostat never went over 20.1. Can I use Tado SRTs with a 3rd-party thermostat connected to the boiler?
Hi, all. Simple and potentially dumb question; I'd just like to check whether my mental model is correct. 🙂 I'm in the UK; I have a system boiler (Vaillant), and a wireless Honeywell Thermostat (T6). I'm renting, so I'm not comfortable with replacing the Thermostat itself. If I install a bunch of Tado SRTs, is it correct…
