Will any of the thermostats work with an Atag iC Economiser 27?
Hi, I have an Atag iC Economiser 27 boiler from 2017, not the more recent "plus" model. It came with an Atag One controller which is hooked in with a 2 write OpenTherm bus connection. That controller is about to pack in and I'm looking at Tado instead. I've read that the only UK model that does OpenTherm is the wired…

Installation wiring help
Hi there Tado just sent me really generic instructions. I've got the wired thermostat which is going into a combi boiler. I'm replacing a Sunvik SL The wires are N L and 4. On the tado instructions that is p1 (N) and p2 (l) and there's no 4 sticker. But then wiring into tado it has No nc com then 3 blanks and the…

Daily summary
We’re trying to get the best balance of temperature and schedule to keep the house reasonably warm-ish as economically as possibly and I’m doing meter reads daily to get the daily gas cost. Would be really good to get a daily breakdown of the number of minutes per day each room sensor calls for heat. I can’t see an easy…

API & Opentherm
Hi I'm about to get a new boiler (Atag IC economiser) which has opentherm capability. I'm v interested in the Tado v3+ controller, as it's the only one which allows for a 14 year boiler warranty AND has an accessible API. I'm aware that the UK controller doesn't have Opentherm - I'd need to buy either an extension kit or…

Tado switched heating on without instruction
I've just installed a wireless tado kit (no TRV's yet to keep things simple) and have set-up a Smart Schedule. However, this afternoon the heating switched itself on. In my schedule the target temp is 15 degrees however on the home screen the target temp is showing as 19 degrees. Can anyone help explain why they are out of…

V3+ radiator thermostats - temperature ring too stiff to turn.
I've recently installed 7 Tado smart radiator thermostats V3+ in my home. They are all working ok and I can control them easily with the app. My problem is that the manual temperature control ring is either very stiff or won't move on 5 of the 7. The other 2 work as expected. When I attempt to reduce the temperature by…

Why is Tado overshooting the temperature setpoint?
Hello, I have a Saunier-Duval ThemaPlus Condens (Gas condensation modulating boiler). Its max flow temperature is set to 60 C. Tado has been installed for more than a year. I don't understand the temperature in some rooms (with TRVs) overshoots the setpoint by a lot! The graph shows that a 17:30, the boiler starts heating…

How best to integrate tado with a Viessmann Vitodens 200-W?
The Vitodens 200-W has a KMbus+ which doesn't support Tado. Would it still be possible to let the boiler control the flow temperature modulation and weather compensation, and then separately Tado can control the TRVs timing and temperature just through the wireless hub? Or is something similar possible?

Status of radiators when cannot reach bridge
I have 10 smart thermostats on radiators. Two of them intermittently disconnect from the bridge (which is connected fine to the internet as the other 8 smart thermostats show all OK with connection). I am currently away and the Away setting says keep every room at 10 degs C. This works well and whenever a room goes below…

Nest thermostat and smart Tado radiators
I just bought the tado smart radiator thermostat (4 + bridge) to have more control over the temperature in our bedrooms. I understand that the radiators only heat when the Nest thermostat (connected to the boiler) is programmed to heat. I’m fine with that! The problem I’m having is that the smart radiators are not stopping…

TRV says temp is lower than roomstat - roomstat is measuring device for room
can anyone explain this? smart TRV on the rad, smart thermostat on the wall (the roomstat is the measuring device for the room) room temp set to 21, roomstat thinks the temp is 21.5, TRV thinks it's 20 (and suggests it's calling for heat). which is one right and why is the TRV saying it's calling for heat when it's not the…

Boiler doesn't get hotter than 57 degrees?
When my boiler (Intergas Eco RF 30) is heating my radiators it shows code 5 and then a temperature It never goes higher than 57 degrees, even if the house is freezing and I set the thermostats to 25 degrees I've set Max Flow temp to 70 via the installers app, and tried setting CH temp on the boiler to 70 too, but it…

Is the wireless room stat much better?
Having had a nightmare with one radiator SRT which was basically useless and over reading then under reading and keeping the room cold when it could call for heat I switched to independent. It was better but it had a -2.5C offset and the room temp had to be set between 22-23c to get 20c first thing and it would slowly…

Frost Protection Not Heating Radiators
Maybe I'm confused but I've noticed my heating igniting randomly during the night. After checking the app, it thinks my rooms are less than 5 degrees so I'm assuming the Frost protection is kicking in. Is there any way for me to know this is the reason? And secondly, why aren't my radiators getting warm if this is the…

Tado not working.

All i want to do ia set the times i want it to go on and off and also be…

Is the wired starter kit all I need?
Hi, I've got a Honeywell ST9400C controller that has a physical wire connection to a thermostate in my hall and a physical wire connection to my hot water cylinder. The cylinder has a thermostate on it and the boiler is oil. The ST9400C has a House Heating side and a Hot Water Heating side ie the hot water and heating work…

Replacing old Danfoss equipment

Why is heating coming on in rooms set to 'off'?
Whenever I set the lounge radiator to say 19c (radiator smart thermostat), but want the main thermostat in the hallway and other rooms set to off (wireless smart thermostat) to save money, the system seems to heat all rooms regardless (rads are very hot to the touch). Surely the point of Tado is that you can heat only one…

Set Room Type
Hi all, i have smart TRVs in every room, apart from bathrooms. I find the air quality section really useful. The only thing I am unable to find a setting for is to give a room a "type" for example living room or bedroom. I feel this would give the air quality section greater accuracy as the ideal temperature for a bedroom…
