Radiators only heat up if water is also set to be on
We have a relatively simple gas central heating set up.
A traditional but NEW gas boiler (not combi), with TADO wireless receiver, internet bridge and wireless temperature sensor/controller. The controller is in the main living room. None of the radiators have TRVs
We have found that whilst we can have hot water (ON) only, the central heating only works if we have hot water set to on.
We can have (1) hot water only, (2) hot water and heating of radiators, but not (3) just heating of radiators.
If the hot water is set to OFF then the radiators do not heat up.
Any ideas?

Look at section 6. Is your wireless receiver set for s/y plan rather than gravity fed? https://cdn.brandfolder.io/607DGEMS/as/tqh86npbjjhws5gwkxfncbfh/104172-DIGITAL-WRP01IB01-INSTALLER_MANUAL-TA-UK-00-V2.pdf1

Thanks Johnny. I have done the test on page 6 and discovered the installation needed to be changed to gravity fed. Going to see if that has cracked the problem, hopefully so.

If it’s really gravity fed, which I doubt, it can’t do CH only.
New boiler would suggest fully pumped, as that’s a lot more common than sticking with gravity fed. S plan or Y plan would be likely.
