Oil consumption energy IQ
Hi, Anyone has good workaround on hot to calculate heating costs with oil heating? The best I came up is to say 1 litre oil gives 10kwh and cost of 1kwh is cost of the 1 litre divided by 10. Not sure will this correctly calculate cost yet to see. Any other ideas?

When heating will be triggered?
Just recently installed all system, today first day when it called heat, it called heat when temperature dropped to 0.1 over the set temperature and heated up to 1.5 above set temperature. Is this normal? On Honeywell I could set tolerance range, say start heat if 1 degree below set temperature and stop if 1 degree above,…

Thermostat head turns on 100% when batteries are drained out
Dear community, I'm using Smart Thermostat (Heizkörper) with internet bridge, but i want to switch them off during warm season. Also, if i understand correct, tado thermostat heads should turn off (close valve) if batteries discharged. But recently i had repeated the same situation with 2 thermostats: after discharging the…

Replacing a Honeywell Evohome with Tado - Help with wiring
Hello, I am replacing a Honeywell Evohome with a Tado and had some questions on the wiring. It is connected to a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 42CDI Classic ErP Combiboiler. This is the current wiring of the Honeywell BDR91 Would I use the following wiring diagram for Tado to retain similar functionality? Thanks for your help.

Special offers to UK consumers only available to German speakers?
I have given up in despair at finding any way of contacting Tado. This appears to be deliberate. They, like German delivery company, DPD, do not want to deal with consumers at all if they can avoid doing so. They are also so stupid that they spend a special offer to, I assume, everyone in the UK with a link to a German…

Solving the internet bridge problem
I have read multiple posts on resolving the issue when the internet bridge stops working. i.e. all 3 lights not on. I have invested in a significant number of tado devices, so I'm looking to solve the problem rather than switch to a new device manufacturer. I have just been on holiday for 3 weeks and twice my internet…

Low battery question
Hi I have had a low battery warning since around Easter time and just ignored it as heating is off so I didn’t see the point in putting a new set of batteries in for six months when not in use. So question is if they die completely will I lose that head and need to set it up again ? Thanks

I just have no idea where to start! Ideal Logic Combi C30 and how to wire to Opentherm
Hi all! So before I start, I'm well aware that there are many many topics regarding the Ideal Combi C30 and how to wire them to Opentherm. However, I see there are quite a few versions of it and because of that, I have no idea where to start with my installation. I'll say that I don't have any tado equipment yet, but this…

Underfloor Heating - Tado -> Wiring Centre -> Actuators
At present I have most of my home's heating and the hot water controlled by Tado but the underfloor is managed by a simple programmable thermostat. I would like to manage the heat to the underfloor with a Tado too. I need to use a wiring centre as this controls a pump as well at the actuators and also sends the message to…

Manual timer override via App
New Tado user here. Have been playing around and have a question. In the app I can set the behaviour to Timer and set a time for both the heating and hot water but when I switch either on via the app it doesn’t obey the timer interval and waits until the next schedule. Is there a way to have the app use the timer as with…

Can I see from the app if a radiator valve thinks it is open or closed ?
Another newbie question :( Can I tell from the app if a radiator valve thinks it is open or closed? Reason for the question is that I have Comap valves so need to select a pin to match physical dimensions and I'm right between two sizes. It seems that one of my valves is letting hot water through. So I want to check if it…

Do I need a radiator valve in a room to enable requesting heat from my boiler ?
Hi, new to Tado and the forum and can't find an answer for this anywhere. Here's my scenario: 1. Fitting Tado radiator valves to all but one of my radiators. 2. 3 radiators in my main living area will be grouped to one wireless temperature sensor 3. I planned to keep the radiator in my master bathroom on a trv set to…

Heating stuck off then stuck on!
Anyone else had issues this morning with the heating being particularly weird? Didn't come on this morning. Tado thought it had come on. As usual care and protect therefore useless. Reset the main thermostat and the heating came on when I forced it on with the boost rooms option. It wasn't coming on with just the schedule.…

Experience having Tado on radiators in pit?
Anybody has any experience with this? In my living room, I have 2 radiators in a pit/under floor level. They currently do not have a valve at all; they're on when the heating system is on, which obviously isn't very energy friendly when I only need heating upstairs later at night. I asked a professional to include valves…

unnecessary hot water heating at the end of cycle
Hi, I'm curious if you ever experienced the following buggish behavior: the hot water schedule is set up to 7:00-7:30 and 20:00-20:30. The water temperature is reached after ~15 min, so the boiler is usually not heating when reaching the off time point. But when the off time point is reached after ~2 min the boiler starts…

Broken battery bay on wired thermostat weak and poor design plastic
The plastic of the battery bay is cheap and weak and not strong enough to support the pressure of the leaf spring contact that hold the batteries in place - very poor design. How do I turn hot water on when Internet Fails
Hi our system had been working normally, but after an upgrade to our service we lost access to the Internet. How specifically do I manually trigger the water to be heated?
