Tado X offline a lot
Bridge is online, we ran some wifi checks and wifi speed and connections are fine. We have a router with glass fibre cable, connected to 3 Deco x50 units spread throughout the house. The Tado system is connected to the Deco network, which has IPV6 switched on.
We tried relocating the Deco and Bridge, restarting the Deco, Bridge and main router but this doesn’t seem to work.
The system will be offline for hours and then will suddenly switch to “online” again.
Please send help! :) I’m located in the Netherlands.

Same here. Have you found a fix in the meantime? My workaround is to add all radiators to Apple HomeKit. There, they would appear normal while within Tado they appear offline. Looks to me more of a Tado issue than a setup issue.0

@Mark_e Haven’t found a fix yet… we called our internet provider and they enabled 5ghz as wel as 2.4ghz so when the signal is weak the router can switch between both. Initially it seemed to help, Tado no longer has been offline as much as before but since yesterday things have turned around again and we’re dealing with offline radiators again. I’ll try adding them to Apple Homekit, thanks for the advice!
I’ll probably call our Internet provider again tomorrow to see what they can do…0 -
The whole Tado X system is a bit flaky in my opinion. I get randomly disconnecting Smart radiator thermostats. Not the same ones either. Also they randomly go offline.
Today another has randomly decided I need to go through the installation procedure again. Needs the battery removing and plugging in and then it works again.
When I went away for a few days the Wireless receiver went offline. Very useful.
I got them so cheap on black Friday I can't be bothered to return them but if I'd paid full price I'd send them back.
They're not worth it imo.
My Nest never went offline neither did the original Atag controller.0 -
This is what I wake up to today - yay!!

@frankfromfolkestone So annoying right?! We got it on Black Friday as well, saved a lot of money but all the troubles are causing so much stress haha, not knowing if my baby daughter will sleep through the night or not if Tado decides to disconnect the radiator in her room while it’s snowing outside. Yay!0

I havent had any issues for a while now. The valves are running firmware 234.1, the thermostat 246.2, bridge 245.1. Anyone?0

I keep getting issues like this with my X gear. Every few days, randomly they keep going offline, but bridge stays connected to the internet fine. Rebooting the bridge x solves the issue. 1 thermostat, 2 radiator valves all basically within line of sight with each other. Fantastic internet connectivity. Totally a tado issue imo. Frankly not good enough.0

Ps bridge running 245.1, thermostat 247.1, valves 250.1.0

Hello. I am joining the problem of random disconnection of valves. I operate 53 of them in 23 rooms. They are connected to 4 bridges.
Tado is connected to the UniFi network and each of the bridges is fixed to the UniFi AP with the best signal. Each Tado bridge also has a fixed IPv4 address on the dhcp server. It is striking that the ping response from the router to the bridges is 20-500 ms including packet loss.
The bridges run with fw. 245.1, the valves on 243.1 and 250.1. The disconnection is random, the state when the valve wants to calibrate is also random. It is tiring to monitor the entire system to see if everything is running properly.
There is no rule in disconnecting valves, it is really random.I am attaching a ping to one of the bridges

So I haven't had the issue for a while now. Things I have changed over time: changed the location of the hub, upgraded valves and hub, reconnected the values by physically taking the battery out and switched off IPV6 on the mesh system. Let me know if anyone found a cause..

Just for the record:
I have changed all my radiator valves to the Drayton TRV4s as I realised this was causing the issues. So it wasn't Tado's fault. I haven't had a disconnect since. Not once.
