My rad valves are currently as per attached photo. Replacing with Tado X valve so mean the display faces up which I haven’t seen anywhere. Any issues with that except that it might protrude out a bit? Thanks

    Thats pretty much how the Danes, the Dutch, have their valves - hanging out horizontally. Should work.
