Tado X Smart Radiator Valve Battery

After 4 to 5 months two of my valves have reported a low battery. I have a spare so very quick and easy to change. I notice looking at the android app that the previous day these batteries were reported as "Good" with an icon showing a fully charged battery.

The next day they were low.

There does not seem to be any in-between stage, this seem a pity, it would be nice if the battery monitoring system could provide at least a 3rd position, just so people can be ready. Personally I feel it would be good to have a step every 10% or at least every 25%.

What do others think about this?

Anyone else seen this with their X Rad valves?

Thanks

  • Hello @Weatherman

I changed your post from 'discussion' to 'idea' as the latter seems more fitting.
This is a topic that was discussed previously for V generations, but not so much for X.

Generally speaking, this is not top of the agenda for our development team (as far as I am aware), but it's good to have it documented nonetheless.
