Tado X - Central Heating LED always on
This is a Tado X question specific to the UK version of the Wireless Receiver X.
I have it connected to my Worcester Greenstar Highflow 440 using relay contacts for both CH and HW. It is working fine, with both CH and HW confirmed working.
However the LED for the CH is permanently on, it is not going on/off with the relay (which I can hear operating).
As per this page (https://help.tado.com/en/articles/9701084-what-do-the-symbols-leds-and-buttons-on-the-wireless-receiver-x-mean) it says this LED should mirror the demand (relay), which is the case for the HW (but not CH).

I have noticed this as well which is counterintuitive - seems like when there are rooms that are calling for heat (independent or not) then this light will come on. The actual relay seems to kick in separately and once there is no demand in rooms then this is the only instance the light seems to switch off.
It would be good to understand the following two items:
- What is the process for enabling/disabling the actual relay?
- How having multiple rooms added onto the same zone controller affects the call for heat? I.e. is the system smart enough to wait until few more rooms call for heat before firing the boiler?
But unfortunately Tado's manual's don't go into that level of detail.

According to support (and also my experience) is that the call for heat (relay) is working fine. It is just the LED which incorrectly shows the wrong (on) status when there is no call for heat.
In relation to the logic for calling for heat it this would be triggered when 1 or more rooms need heat.

OK, so sounds like a software patch down the line, so the relay operation lines up with the actual light on the receiver…
