Tado X No Matter Code For Wireless Reciever X Therefore No Hot Water Control
When running V3 I had linked the bridge to Homekit and had a hot water option in home kit. Just in the process of adding my new X equipment to homekit and expected to see a matter code on the wireless receiver X so that I can add the hot water control to homekit but no code present.
How are you supposed to add hot water control to homekit with tado X?

I’ve the same question as Kenny, this applies to HomeKit but also the V3 when connected to Alexa actually showed hot water as an entity.
Now with Tado X, I can’t see how to get hot water control in Apple home or in Alexa..?
Surely these haven’t been missed? The previous version exposed these.

Hi @Emcee ,
Hope all is well. Can we get a formal update on this one please?
Could you please advise further on this one or tag in someone from the Tado tech/dev team that could comment on the update from PhloopH (Ticket 90692) update re Matter v1.4 and hot water support now and if Tado's plan/dev map for this?
Is the Hot Water likely to be an element that is possible to expose via Matter anyway? Considering the Wireless receiver doesn't have a Matter QR code to join it to Home Kit or Home Assistant (etc.).Thanks in advance.

Similar to me. I've contacted the help centre through messages to see if this can be sorted out. Set the bridge to s/y plan which got me the hot water on the app but not sure if something else needs enabled. Coming from the v3 system where all devices were shown through account linking. The matter thread seems to be missing the hot water, at least in a simplified manner of accessing it the same way as other devices.
How to guides are pretty rubbish when it comes to this stuff to be honest. Says to go into the hot water device and copy the matter code, there is no hot water device in settings. Really needs more thought put into it as we can have infinitely complex systems yet the how to's are very basic and simplistic.2 -
The lack of a CSA Compliant matter code card (or CSA license last time I looked) similar to other Tado X products has been raised by me to ChatBot Subject Matter Expert (SME). The lack of a card for the Tado X Wireless Receiver (EU) was an oversight by the department responsible. I have all the answers that I requested from Tado, will put together an “Open Letter” (agreed) giving the current issues that I have identified and the companies responses (the company has been refreshingly frank, although wincing at some of my questions/statements). I’ll try to put it together this weekend (understanding that I am 80% disabled), get final comments from SME before release.

I sincerely hope it is something that they can enable in a Firmware update of some kind, an "oversight" by the department would be an absolute joke.
As others have said, the older V3 exposed Hot water along with TRVs to the likes of HomeAssistant, Alexa etc. - We have by going forward with the latest and greatest Tado X (Matter over thread), gone backwards in functionality exposed and have no hot water exposure out of the Tado App… which sucks.0 -
Hello @KennyLoggins
and @ AndyP27
(as well as others)
Regarding the hot water option on Home Kit, this was never available with V3+ (see "HomeKit does not support Hot Water Control" in this article.)
However, with V3+, you could control your hot water with Alexa/Google cloud integrations. Might this have been how you controlled hot water? If this is the case, then yes it is not possible to do the same with tado° X as the thermostat protocol in Matter does not include any options for controlling hot water.
If you would like to make a feature request, please see here on how to do so.0
