Suggestions left unanswered.

Hi,
Many of us have been asking for it for a long time.
I am the new user of TADO V3+ and I am actually satisfied with it.
However, after reading many suggestions of other users, Tado does not take it seriously.
A lot of comments on the appearance and functionality of the main screen.
Windows 8 appearance is ok but why is it not possible to edit tiles?
They have enough space to add more information like humidity.
And maybe the name of the room and the current status a little bigger font.
Perfectly add option to toggle on/off certain tiles on the display.
In my case, I would like to set an additional tablet that will display the status at all times and should be clearly visible.

  • I fully agree with you. I've just checked my tablet and phone and in both cases the room tiles are only 1/4 used for information and 3/4 empty space.

The argument in the past was that, in some languages, room names might be much longer than UK naming conventions, but even if twice the width was allowed for long names, that's still half the height wasted. It surely would not take much to use this empty real estate for more information or, at least, larger text.

I do wonder how some people think. I mean, somebody designed things this way on purpose. 🥺

  • Hi. Used to wonder about this myself until I found an old post by @Rob who was until recently an admin here. He delivered a long post about how the company reviews requests and determines which ones to take forward. It isn't a simple process, yet he made the point that he would often bend a few ears to help communicate our concerns. The present admin is, I believe, @Emcee, who is in my experience also decent. They aren't decision makers however. Somehow am seeing in this century an increasing separation between ends users and product development leads. Unfortunate.
  • So what is the purpose of creating a forum when they ignore end user suggestions?
At the end of the day, it's about selling a good product.
This is my example. Is this how the home screen should look like on a 10-inch tablet?

12.4" tablet. Why on earth doesn't the Air Comfort tile at least show outdoor temperature (and humidity, and wind). There is room enough, without the need to click and drill down and back up again. So much wasted space. In terms of space used (and space wasted), my phone display is pretty much identical, so it's less about the screen size and more about the design philosophy. I don't get it.

  • Hello everyone,

I believe this is thread Policywonk is referring to. You'll see that there are many considerations that have to be made when implementing a new feature or making a change, but community feedback is definitely in there.
