Previous update on this issue on the thread was in november. We are in february, no news about these missing functions except that they are in the roadmap.
We deserve more transparency. We feel Tado is not being honest in this issue. We are beta testers of the X line2 -
If expected dates cannot be shared how about sharing the features that are being worked on and the order of priority? If there are features considered higher priority than early start are we not allowed to know what they are? We might even get excited about them.

I have bought 12 valve and 11 wireless sensors…..a lot of money and I don't have a so easy function to implement that the old one has…..not so good tado…
The early start and the early come home using geofencing is needed to be smart….

Also teh possibilità to put all the valve open with a summer button…so easy to implement1 -
Appearantly it's much easier to have peaople pay hundreds of euros to "upgrade" from V3 to X and not tell them a lot of useful (software!) features that were present in V3 are missing in X and there's absolutely no intention to fix this.
And it's even worse - these features are coupled to the auto-assist plus package, for which one pays thirty euros a year. With the "upgrade offer" they tell you the package can be transferred to the new setup easily. That turns out to be true, but the whole plus package has become absoluty useless now. But I'm stuck with it till december.
If I played this kind of sh*t with my clients i'd be in jail by now.

I’m another user who just inadvertently “downgraded” from V3+ to Tado X without knowing I’d lose preheat and early start.
Preheat was the feature that set Tado apart from their competitors (like Hive and Nest).0 -
Also netatmo has the function from
the beginning. Without early start Tado is no smart at all0 -
It was the Preheat functionality in my opinion which set Tado apart from its competitors. Does Netatmo have an equivalent of this?0

Please add this feature ASAP. This is one of the basic feature what you need with a "smart" control.

It’s June 2025 and still no sign of the promised alignment of v3+ and X product features… Lets hope Tado implement them before the next heating season.2

Well that was a surprise, pre-heat is back (beta). Personally I would rather early start had been implemented first as pre-heat can never really work unless you are walking home. I always manually turned the heating on in the living room when I was heading home (V3) so I didn't miss it when I upgraded. Early start is a different story, it worked reasonably well. I miss that.

The "away" tab of the scheduler for each room. As it's a beta feature perhaps it is currently only enabled for a sample of customers.
