V1 Installtion
Hi I have the original V1 beta which I have not used since probably 2019. I powered it up today and it said all components were offline. I then deleted the home so that I can add everything back again. But it's asking for the serial number and 4-11 digit code. I have the serial number but where do I find the code?

@vmailtk True V1? You'd have a unicorn. At tado we struggle a bit with them because they are so unique compared to V2 and later, combined with their rarity and age.
Anyway, please send me some pictures of serial numbers and other stickers on the devices. Please as a PM so it's not visible to everyone. I can then see what I can do.

I managed to add the devices to the account of vmailtk, after a private message.
To anyone with a V1 reading this:
The V1 (officially named Connector Kit) was our very first product, and was replaced by V2 a decade ago. I still use a V2 thermostat manufactured in 2014 in my own home. Note that tado was founded in 2011.
V1 is very different from our other products and also not compatible with other generations. The bridge (on the picture on the left) was optically carried over to V2 and replaced for V3, but a true V1 bridge is still fundamentally different from (and not compatible with) V2-V3+. The Box and Temperature Sensor are unique to V1. V1 works fine with our app though and has all features that are compatible with the hardware, as far as I know.
But, we sold very few of them, a decade+ ago and they are very different from our other products. As a result, we struggle supporting them. Only one or two people in the company still 'understand' them properly, the rest has zero experience (myself included) and depends on documentation. Documentation about a legacy product in a quickly changing and evolving environment is not always perfect/up to date in an Agile company. As a result, we offer very steep discounts on our new hardware when you retire your V1. Plus, you get to carry over your Auto Assist. Just contact our support for that.
This is only about V1. We can support and troubleshoot V2 and newer perfectly fine.
