  • Hi

Noted that you have managed to get more than 10 rooms to request heat from the boiler. If I am reading correctly you added a second controller to your system.

was that wired in parallel to the boiler so either controller can call for heat and therefore you’ve got 2 zone controllers on the same account?

  • I did similar setup as Rschot did by having two receivers controlling the same boiler and each receiver handles 7 rooms. I pre-wired the controllers 'in parallel' before connecting them to the power supply Neutral (N), Live (L), and to the boiler terminals Live (L) and Switched Live (SL). My combi boiler is expecting a simple ON/OFF switch capable of handling 230V for control, so the parallel wiring will work (when either one or both of the controllers call for heat, the boiler will be switched on). Of course, you will need to understand your existing wiring before following the same setup.

  • Hi @rogerkong I think I'm having issues due to the device limit and only having one controller. Did this solution work for you and is it still working? We've been running 10 rooms and 17 devices for around 3 years now and after the recent server outage our system hasn't worked as it should do. We're getting some wacky temperatures (really high at times, then really low), which completely messes up the whole heating. We're also seeing multiple SRTs showing the configuration download symbols. I'd like to create another heating zone to split our upstairs and downstairs and thought I could do that by adding a second wireless thermostat, but I'm sure I read somewhere that a house can have only one wireless thermostat?

Anyway, I'm contemplating adding a second controller and wiring it in parallel so just curious to know how your getting on with this set up?

    Thanks
