Support one decimal place (0.1) for radiator valve temperatures in the Tado app

These devices appear to report their temperature at 1 decimal place of accuracy (I see it via the API in my Home Assistant integration) yet the Tado app only shows their temperature as integers. Can you please change this? I recognise this might be difficult on the device display itself but not in the app.

I'd also like to be able to change the offset for a valve in the app more accurately than whole degrees. Same request - support offsets in 0.1 degree increments please. The device supports it - it appears to be a limitation of the app only.

  • In the app, 1C is the increment for both thermostat offset and for smart schedules unless I revert to Fahrenheit.

I actually notice smaller increments make the difference between feeling comfortable and uncomfortable.

Do you know if this issue is going to be addressed? I've just wanted to adjust TRV to the same temperature as thermostat in other part of the home and surprise - it's not possible!
Is manipulation with offset the only way for a customer to set required temperature on TRV?

Do you know if support can enable it individually on customers request?

@Irek85 Hello. The wireless temperature sensors are accurate to +/- 0.1 deg C. The TRVs are accurate to +/- 0.5 deg C. The app follows these device accuracy guidelines.

  • Hello @wateroakley . Thanks for the reply!
I don't think it does. The app shows TRV temperature to exact decimal number as well as it enables offset for TRV to exact decimal number.
I believe the accuracy you refer to means that if I set TRV to 20,5 I can expect something between 20,25 an 20,75 as a result. It's not like I set temp to 21 and one day it's 20,5 and on another 21,5 with the same setting.

What if I find it tad too cold with 20,5 and tad too warm with 21? I have to buy wireless thermostat to set it to 20,7?😅

I understand your sympathy for Tado company, but in this case I blame not carefully thought out programming, but hopefully an easy fix 😉
