Tado X Wireless Receiver Sending Incorrect Information to OpenTherm Boiler

I'm trying to setup a Tado X system to use OpenTherm to control my Combi Boiler and it is not working.

Setup: Vaillant ecoFIT sustain 835 combi-boiler, Tado Wireless Receiver, Tado Wireless Thermostat, Tado TRV's

I first setup the system in relay mode and it worked fine. I then added a Valliant V33 OpenTherm module to the boiler. I connected the X32 connector on the V33 to the X32 edge connector on the boiler control board. I added link wires to the X106 Burner On and 24V RT terminals. I powered up the boiler without the Tado connected and the green status light flashed to indicate the eBUS to OpenTherm link was working. I then connected the X12 V33 Opentherm wires to the Tado. I had also removed the relay CH COM and CH OC connections on the Tado.

I then powered up again. This time the V33 status light flashed slowly indicating it was receiving incorrect data from the Tado. The Tado then switched from Opentherm mode to Relay mode.

My question is, can you see if I've done any steps incorrectly. Some forum posts about the V33 module mention using the X31 connector, but I do not have one on my control board. I believe I have made all the correct connections and the V33 appears to be working when not connected to the Tado.

Could my Tado Wireless Receiver be faulty?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
