Tado system heating without needing to
I’ve had my system in for 18 months now in the upstairs of my house, 3 bedrooms
Bedroom 1 one TRV
Bedroom 2 one TRV
Bedroom 3 two TRVs
All 3 bedrooms are set to 18 degrees and not asking for heat, however there all up at 22 degrees and the boiler is constantly running and subsequently heating the two towel rails that we have in the bathrooms (no TRVs)
This has been happening for the last week but no idea why? Fed up of waking up to the bedroom being 22-24 degrees
Any help or insight would be appreciated

@Meado Sorry to hear you have a problem with your heating.
For the user community to help, best to post more details.
- The heating system: boiler make/model (combi or system), S-Plan or Y-plan heating/HW with zone valves?
- Do you have a Tado wireless starter kit with wireless temperature sensor, wireless receiver and Internet dongle? Or:
- Tado wired starter kit and Internet dongle? Or:
- Only Tado SRTs and an Internet Dongle?
Pictures will help: Easiest posted from a web browser.
From experience: Where the boiler is always running or not running, a faulty zone valve is the prime suspect.

My system is experiencing the exact same issue and it has also only started. Has there been an update to the Tado firmware in this timeframe?

Mine is the same, been working fine since install last year but tonight it came on and wouldn’t shut off. I managed to stop it but 30 mins later it started again so not sure what’s changed like others have said.0

Ours has started the same; restarts, turns itself off, but seems to keep enabling manual override. The only solution is to turn the boiler off for the night. The thermostat is set to off, but it's still calling for heat, thinking it's in override.0

My system won't turn on this morning, not sending a signal to the boiler. Everything worked just fine up until this morning. Using tadoX - one main smart thermostat and 4 radiator thermostats.
Restared the main thermostat, didn't work, then unplugged the batteries, nothing. Turned the whole system off for 5 minutes, same.
Hot water functioning without any issues.0 -
Hi,
Simillar issues at my home. It seems to have started yesterday March 31st around 16:00 to 17:00 UTC. For example, at 21:00, all radiator were showing 0% of heating demand, but the thermostat was requesting 64°C to the boiler… This morning, the thermostat should have started the heating with maximum water temperature at 4:00 UTC, it did react at 5:25 with a low temp and only requested the maximum at 6:33.
The behaviour is absolutely erratic since yesterday evening and we have no idea why.
Thank you for shedding some light on those issues Tado :-)
Best,

Hi again,
So the system seems to be working normally again for about 3 hours, since 8:00 AM UTC. The temperature requested to the boiler match the most demanding room, as it was always the case before this incident.
Does it work again for you guys as well ?

Just to add to my comment above - it seems it’s sorted itself out this morning, came on at scheduled time and went off along with the boiler not firing when the tado x stat was off. I guess this was something Tado was doing like firmware etc?0
