my Smart radiator thermostat wont connect to the bridge due to thread router issue
can I still use the unit as a dumb thermostat?
I assume that without connection to the Tado X bridge and therefore zone controller the unit will not be able to ´tell´ the boiler to switch on or off.
However with this radiator now always receiving hot water through it exactly because it cannot send message to the boiler via bridge and zone controller, if any other zone or connected unit is in operation the warm water will always flow thruogh this radiator if it is on. In other Words the unit will receive hot water from the boiler irrespective so the only way it can turn itself off is by the unit sensing the ambient temperature and if higher than the set temperature it will simply switch itself off or on but NOT be able to request warm water to the radiator as there is not link to the zone controller. sounds complex but is actually simple. Can anyone confirm?
