Which Tado X starter kit do I need?

I am getting very confused as to which Tado X starter kit I need.

I am in the UK, and this is my first smart thermostat.

The boiler is a Worcester 24ri. It's a vented tank system with a hot water tank.

I have a wired thermostat in my hallway. I have a Sunvic 207 xl controller wired into the boiler.

I need to be able to control hot water and heating schedule's.

From what I have read, I need a wired starter kit, but there is no wired starter kit for hot water!

What one do I need!!??

Thanks

    Hi,

I've just finished an install on a Trianco Eurostar 90 oil fired boiler with a Honeywell ST699 controller and T6160B wired thermostat. These things I think are about 30 years old! And Tado's app had all the instructions for a step by step guide…generally very impressed and all up and running.

I got the wireless starter kit for Tado X. There's a set of steps to select which thermostat you've got, that walks you through removing and bridging out the wires that ran to it, before mounting the wireless unit over the top of where the wired one was sited (this is mostly just to hide the old wires). I've not actually mounted the new one in the same place so have left the old thermostat carcass (disconnected) on the wall until I can be bothered to de-wire it altogether and plaster over the hole. The wireless one is now sat on the kitchen worktop whilst I work out where the "best" spot for it might be.

Your Sunvic 207 xl controller is listed as one of the replacement instructions available on the app so that bit should be simple.

Delighted with the Tado X install process and loving my new smart heated home. Would 100% recommend.

I did end up taking a chance and buying the wireless starter kit on new year's eve, and it was dispatched this morning. I look forward to getting it installed and hopefully saving a few quid!
