Setting Up Tado X
I have just setup my Tado X system. I was too honest in saying what my old programmer was and that led to some difficulties. This was because my system is a little unusual. My heating was controlled by another smart valve system so my programmer only had 1 channel for Hot Water. I entered my one channel programmer details and the process thought I had heating only. I should have chosen a two channel programmer, but I know my system well and was able to sort.
My other observation is when installing the Tado X smart Rad valves its best to attach them without the battery to the rad first. Then add the battery and wait for the valve to calibrate before doing the install. Then select language and display 0ritation on the valve and only then try to connect.
I found the app got confused if things were out of order or the valve had not calibrated correctly first.
All is now running well. I have 12 valves so far, only been 24 hours so i will update on how things go.
