Smart wall plug for underfloor heating pump

You offer nearly everything except a way to turn a underfloor heating pump on or off. My living room thermostat is connected to the underfloor heating, and to control the pump I have to set up a complicated process through Homey and a Z-Wave smart wall plug.

It would be great to have a Tado smart wall plug which can be linked to a zone so that when there is a demand for heat, the wall plug switches on and the pump starts running.

  • @Willy0611. Do you have wired Tado thermostat in place? Do you have access to a sparkie who knows how to wire a mains relay?
  • I can wire a mains relay, but I'm not going to open up my walls to get from the thermostat to the pump.

  • I used to do exactly this by making use of ITTT (if this then that). When heating comes on, then turn on my wall switch. Worked at treat! Then Tado pulled support for ITTT.
  • How about fitting a wireless receiver, using it to trigger a relay which wakes up the pump. You can then fit smart trvs which tell the wireless receiver when to throw the relay.
  • I don't know if I understand correctly but Tado wired thermostat can control UFH pump. You just need something like salus rm-16a to pass power to the pump based on signal from Tado.
  • We have make this work by using a wireless thermostat and second wireless receiver (in addition to your first wireless receiver controlling main CH and hot water).

Wireless thermostat is in the room with your UFH and is linked to trigger your second wireless receiver which controls your UFH pump and triggers the boiler (in parallel with first receiver).

Or use wired thermostat as mentioned above if you can put wires through to the room with UFH.
