I have central water heating system and do not have boiler in my home.
Hi All,
I have a district (central) heating system in the NL. And my thermostat is very much mediaeval :) meaning that it only works with on/off (there is temperature scale on thermostat but it is not functioning). When I turn thermostat on, it turns on all the radiators and cannot be set target room temperature. I can only manually turn of or reduce/increase the flow from radiators with manual valves. Thermostat is wired. Could any tado set be compatible with my system? If so, what should I prefer and how can I install?
Thank you!
Yagmur

@yagmurcavusoglu Hi Yagmur. In principle, the Tado wired thermostat in a wired starter kit will replace the vast majority of simple on/off thermostats. What make/model is the present thermostat? What does the thermostat control? A zone valve or something else?
To fit the Tado TRVs you’ll need to replace your manual rad valves with a trv body. E.g. our son had district heating in his 1950s London flat and the maintenance team replaced the ancient rad valves with new TRVs.For advice from Tado, you could reach out to the support team from the chat function on the main Tado web site.
