Tado Wireless reciever as switch
Hi
Can the Tado Wireless reciever be used as a switch to simple switch on 230V to some equipment? What is the maxiumum current cunsumption?
The reason is that I have a single zone water based underfloor heating. Today there is just a wireless room temperature sensor and a reciever that switch 230V power on a pump and an actuator. Can that be replaced by a Tado wireless starter kit?

You can almost certainly use Tado for the set up but you'd need to know the current draw of the devices you'll be switching. As far as I know, the wireless receiver can switch 3 amps which is normally more than enough
Note that it's normal for the switching to manage the valve/actuator. That device then has an internal switch that turns on the boiler/pump. This is a protection mechanism so that a pump isn't started if the valve is stuck

Thank you very much for your answer. 3 amps should be more than enough :-)
