Multiple Smart Thermostat config

We have an existing Tado installation with most (but not all) rooms having Smart Radiator thermostats & Smart thermostats.
Currently, all of the smart thermostats can call for heat.
I’m thinking of modifying this setup so only the more frequently used rooms can call for heat, and lesser used rooms will only be heated when the temperature is below set point AND one of the other rooms is heating.
Has anyone else done this, and how well has it worked for you?

I've done it for a couple of TRVs in rooms which are less occupied on the basis that the boiler will fire less. I haven't really noticed any problems but yet to see how much gas we've saved!
