Tado radiator now working properly.

I have 2 Tado Radiators in 2 rooms next to each other with an open planning ( no walls in between the rooms).

One Tado Radiator says its 18 degrees celcius ( heating up to 15 degrees ). The other one says it 13.8 degrees celcius. The are about 12 meters from each other.

For the first Tado Radiator works as expected:

Changing the temperature on the device itself, the app is updated. vice-versa as well. Changing the temperature on my smartphone on that room, the Tado radiator is updated as well.

The 2nd Tado radiator does not work as expected: the sensor ( on my smartphone) says 13.8 degrees celcius as reading. Which is inccorrect, the temperature is about 18 degrees celcius ( same temperature as the 1th Tado radiator).

When I change the device temperature of heating to a new value it does not update the smartphone. Vise-versa as well, when I change the temperature on my smartphone it does not update the device itself.

This devices has a 'connected' status and battery level'good' according to the app. Blinking the device with 'hi' also works fine.

I already tried:

  • Restarting the devices ( removing the batteries, wait 10 seconds, putting the batteries back, wait 1 min before connecting it to the radiator).
  • Removing the device ( using the app) and adding it again. My receiver found the device immediately.
  • Changing the batteries.

What are the next to troubleshoot and fix my problem?

If the temperature measurement doesn't reset correctly ... Leave the batteries out for longer than 10 seconds, eg one minute and fit new batteries. Failing that, the TRV is probably faulty.
