Have TRVs disabled my thermostats?
My central heating has 2 radiator loops, each controlled by a Smart Thermostat. This has worked fine for several years.
I just bought and fitted 4 TRVs for the upstairs radiators. Today I got tech support to enable heating zones, and the TRVs are all working fine.
This evening the schedule for the downstairs radiators switched on, but the boiler didn't start. After much faffing, I tried adding one of the upstairs TRVs to the downstairs zone, and the downstairs heating came on.
Can I have the downstairs zone controlled by one thermostat, and the upstairs zone controlled by TRVs? Do I need to have at least one TRV in each zone?
