tado v1 and v2 and thermostat mode

Hi, if i find an used tado v1 or v2 i can use the thermostat mode?

I read that "Thermostat Mode is available only to older models of Smart AC Control" so i asked if tado v1 and v2 is enough old to operate this mode

i found a lot of used v2 tado and few v1 in ebay, and before buy one, i asked here for confimation
