Changing Battery on TRV
Hi,
Just a heads up when changing a trv battery...
Tado instructions say;

"To restart the Smart Radiator Thermostat, remove the batteries from the device and wait 10 seconds before putting them back, then close the battery compartment. Then wait 1 minute before you remount the device. This ensures the device will calibrate successfully. Your device will then restart automatically"

The problem here is that you need to dismount the trv, remove the batteries, wait 10 seconds, fit new batteries, close the compartment, then wait 1 minute...but because the trv head is still dismounted it can't calibrate, because it is not in contact with the pin on the valve body, resulting in E1 & E2 faults.
However if you ignore the "wait 1 minute" and remount the trv head immediately, then no fault codes appear and the trv works fine.
Maybe the 1 minute delay was needed previously and the Tado instructions have never been updated?? but the delay causes faults E1 & E2 on my system..
