Please help

I can no longer turn my heating on or off by the app or the thermostat the hot water works but that’s it can anyone please help

  • Do you hear the relay switching in the wireless receiver/ extension kit when you turn on CH?

    If you do, then it could be a failed motorised valve for the heating circuit. That would need a plumber to replace it

    If you don't hear the click, try tapping the case abd also power it off for 5 minutes as it could be a stuck relay on the unit

    Ditto David. The most lkely suspect is the CH motorised zone valve, whether its's six months old or 20 years. The motor head can fail and/or the valve can stick. Replacing the motor head is usually straightforward for a competent person familiar with electrics. The valve itself willl need a plumber or heating engineer to replace it. If in any doubt seek help from a professional.

    Assuming you have the wireless receiver ... Turning CH ON/OFF (this can take up to one minute) ... 1. check that the receiver CH light comes ON/OFF? 2. Does the relay 'click'? 3. Is the CH zone valve motor head 'hot' (noticeably hotter than the HW motor head)? 4. Can you feel resistance (to the right) on the CH zone valve lever? and less resistance when you call for heat ON? 5. Can you open the zone valve manually (move the lever to the right) and does the boiler/pump/CH come ON ?
