Add a v3 bridge to a V1 system?

Hi. Newbie here.

I have a v1 system which has done me proud for several years. Pretty sure I have the original v1 kit as the remote temp sensor has the solar panel.

I recently bought a 3 pack of Basic radiator valves which I discover won't work with the original system (I know... should have done a bit more homework).

Can I simply replace the V1 bridge with the V3 bridge, or do I have to replace the whole setup with a V3 starter kit?

    er... when I say Bridge, I mean Gateway

    The two systems are not compatible and you'll need to upgrade all your old devices. Tado used to offer an upgrade discount for v1 users, but not sure if they still do.
