Moved into house with tado, can't find auth code for wireless receiver or thermostat help
Moved into a house 2 weeks ago which has tado fitted.
There is a combi boiler which is supplying hot water but i can't get the heating to work, BT have just connected us to broadband today and I really need to get the heating to work.
I have managed to pair the bridge thing with the wireless receiver but it won't pair with the thermostat, also I cannot find the auth code for either.
I have tried the bot support (useless) I have phoned and left a message with the emergency service and still waiting to hear anything back.
At this point in time i just want to rip the whole lot out and go back to nest or hive.
Any help please?

Until you get an answer from support, have you tried adjusting the temperature at the individual tado radiator valve?

Hi there,
The radiator valves seem to be just generic radiator valves, i can raise the asking temperature in the thermostat but because it's not linked to the bridge thing and in the account, it won't call for heating.
Is there a way to get the cover off the thermostat without breaking it so i can find the auth code and serial number? It seems stuck fast and then i could add it manually?
Seriously, i've never encountered such a stupid system, with nest all i had to do was reset the thermostat for the next owner to input their details.

If the thermostat you are referring to is as linked below, the cover lifts off from the bottom.

I have to say that support were singularly unhelpful, either they didn't read what i wrote or didn't understand the problem.
I've now managed to get the cover off the thermostat and have heating but it's taken me two weeks and most of this morning to get the things all paired up and working.
This raises quite a serious issue in my view, that these smart heating systems need to be much more user friendly towards people moving in and taking them over in houses where they are already installed.
I really am extremely unimpressed with tado.
