Change to manual control duration wtf

I always had my system set up to revert any manually set temperature to the scheduled settings at the start of the next schedule block, and this worked fine for me.

A couple of days ago I set a manual temperature as the weather has been unseasonably cool in the my area. I only noticed today that the override didn't revert back to the schedule, resulting in the heating remaining on constantly for a couple of days and nights.

Today, I received an email from Tado excitedly announcing a change to the manual control duration. Wtf? So they change the functionality without telling anyone at the time, resulting in wasted energy and higher bills. I.e. the polar opposite of the purpose of the system.

Not for the first time, I'm regretting investing in a Tado system. The tech, for the most part, is OK (ignoring the hopeless open window detection feature), but the way the company operates really sucks sometimes.
