Tado keeps heating the room
Good afternoon everybody,
I used to have a Honeywell manual thermostat and setting the temperature worked perfectly.
Now I had a company install a Tado heating system and since then I have experienced problems. The heating system does not stop warming up the room. In the living room I have 4 heating systems without an additional Tado regulator on it which would before always stop warming up when the temperature set is reached.
However, since I am working with the Tado thermostat I can set the heating to 21 but it will warm up indefinantly to over 30 degrees celcius.
Is it required to install Tado knobs on every heating system in the house? Like can it not function with a system without knobs?
Best,
Alex

Your answer probably depends on how many physical Heating Zones you have in your house, e.g. how many physical hot water circuits you have and can control in your house. If you have each room on different zones then you could control each room without the Radiator Thermostats.
In my case, I have 2 physical zones in my house. One just controls the Lounge and this can act independently from the rest of my house - no need for a Radiator Thermostat. However, all of the rest of my house runs off the other zone, controlled by a single wired zone controller. So when this heating is set to be on, all of the house receives the hot water through the radiators (except the Lounge).
To control individual radiators within the physical heating zone you'll need to use the Radiator Thermostats - these can be configured to work together if you have more than one in a room - you configure the Measuring Device for a specific Room in the setup and place all the Radiator Thermostats in the same room..... I have 2 radiators in my bedroom and only one controls the temperature and open/closes both valves as required.
Hope that helps a bit.
