Thanks to Tado for Smart AC v3
I see that Tado have launched their 3rd generation of their Smart AC controller with the headline new feature being Apple HomeKit support.
Kudos to Tado for adding HomeKit. This is currently the only such controller with HomeKit support. Furthermore at least here in the UK there are zero other HomeKit compatible AC solutions since the GE product is US only and the Haier HomeKit compatible AC unit is despite being sold in some parts of Europe not available in the UK.
So, I will finally be able to get a HomeKit controlled AC system. 👍️

Yes the UK has the reputation of having a summer season lasting just one day :)
However last year we had a phenomenal summer which lasted for weeks. See -
With global warming this is expected to happen more often with the south of the UK predicted to gain a Mediterranean climate.
We already are seeing wine production in the south of the UK resulting in bigger and better vintages with our sparkling wines now beating the French. See -
Remember we Brits invented Champagne and the geology and soils of the south of England are the same as the Champagne region of France. Whilst climate change is boosting the south of England to perfect conditions for champagne it is now becoming too hot in France.
