Thermostat not controlling the extension kit

Hello community. Both my thermostat and extension box are paired and the app can see both and control the temp etc. The thermostat click on an off but it doesn’t seem to be communicating with the extension box. The extension box is controlling the boiler but only via the manual button control. Can anyone help? Best wishes. Stephen.
