Hot water control

I’ve just connected a tado wireless smart thermostat with hot water control. Followed the instructions for my boiler. My boiler is a viessman Vitodens 100-w 26w boiler with a separate water tank.

Everything seems to be working heating wise but I can’t see anything in my app relating to hot water. I also can’t test hot water from the wireless receiver connected to the boiler.

I have a spare purple bridge cable and I was wondering if this needs to be connected to the HW connection on the boiler?? The instructions for the setup clearly do not say so.

Am I over thinking this and will my hot water just maintain itself (as it did prior to installing the tado)?

Also why do the instructions not cover anything about disconnecting my old wireless thermostat controller where I have just removed the batteries.
