One radiator in one room seems to be controlled by a different room's radiators

I have a 2 bed flat with a tado thermostat attached to the boiler and radiator thermostats on the radiators in 3 rooms. When I turn on the heating in the living room, the radiator r1 in the bedroom turns on. That radiator is set to the bedroom, not the living room. Does anyone have any ideas on why one of the radiators in the bedroom would be acting like it's in the living room?

The only thing I could think of was that the thermostat on r1 in the bedroom wasn't installed properly, so the radiator acts like other normal ones in the house, and turns on/off with the main thermostat. But according to the the app its working well/mounted etc.

Thanks for any help!

  • does it also com on when you turn on the one in the spare room? if so it could be that the pin on the physical valve is stuck and so the rad will heat when any of the others come on. if not then look in the setting to see which is the zone controller , it might be that you have set the living room one to be the controller for the bedroom by mistake.
