2 trvs in same room, one is cold
I have two trvs running in the same tado and physical room. One of the radiators is hot, the other is cold. I can use the app and get the cold radiator trv to say “hi”. When I increase the temperature in the room, the trv doesn’t confirm the setting. Anybody help?

Are the two linked in tado? Only one can be the measuring device and it will be the device that lights up when you change the temp. It should open both trvs if heat is needed. Can you hear the trvs opening? Was the rad working OK before the installation?
I did have a smart thermostat and trv linked so the smart thermostat was the measuring device and the trv didn't light up for changes but would say hi. However, if the ST called for heat, the rad also got warm. I ended up splitting that room as it was my hall and landing that are connected by stairs so if the hall was calling for heat, the landing got too hot0 -
Hi, yes both are linked in tado. I can’t hear the valve opening on the cold rad, and it was working fine with a mechanical trv. Interesting point about the “measuring device“, I’d seen other’s comments about only one trv in a group being in control for the whole group. I’ve now switched the control to the second trv to see if it now works as expected (was being suggested that only tado could do this, but I found a way in the app). Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Just noticed your comment about hearing the valve opening on the cold radiator. As it sounds like it's working, this may be a purely mechanical issue with the installation.
I'd suggest removing that TRV from your system and reinstalling as it may not be calibrated correctly for the valve
