Tado rad thermostats pop off
Anyone know where I can get these metal adaptors? In the meantime I have had to use thread tape on the threads to keep the thermostats from popping off.

Hi nomis21,
as I'm experiencing the same issues you described (adapter popping of), I was wondering, if you've been able to find the metal adaptors somewhere?
Cheers, Best Regards,
PeFo

If you want your Tado thermostat assembled well on a Danfoss RA valve, please do yourself a favor and buy at the same time an extra metal adapter (eg Heimeier type: 970224700 for appr €10,-). This is the best way to fixate the thermostat. Tado's plastic adapter is rubbish and the helpdesk is playing stupid instead of admitting their expensive product is delivered with an inferior adapter.

that's a very nice suggestion @BauBau and @smitduiven it even has a fellow Tado fan in the review saying only good things 😊💪

My plastic adapters are useless. I contacted customer service 3 months ago. They agreed to replace all 6. Nothing turned up. I contacted them recently. After even more chasing they claimed the adapters will NOT BE REPLACED as they were a GIFT. They also attempted to suggest my warranty was no longer valid.
Has anyone else had this experience with the customer service team? Not only is this terrible service and an abdication of responsibility, it's also a clear breach of consumer law. If something comes in a box then it's part of the contract. It's incredible that a company would think they can pick and chose what is and isn't part of a contract?
I've had bad customer service in the past but this represents a new LOW.
